Project Engineer
Project Engineer is needed to perform the following duties.

  • Provide construction inspection services for a project administered by federal and state agencies that has an impact on public benefit corporations, municipalities, and private sector entities, including real estate developers.
  • Prepare and provide oversight for technical analysis of complex infrastructure projects related to environmental and construction impact categories pursuant to federal, state and local regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act; National Historic Preservation Act; New York State Historic Preservation Act; State (New York) Environmental Quality Review Act; and New York City Environmental Quality Review guidelines. Relevant technical areas include the following:
    • Construction Inspection
    • Neighborhood character
    • Effects on historic and cultural resources pursuant to federal and state statutes;
    • Water and sewer infrastructure impacts;
    • Air quality assessment;
    • Noise effects on sensitive receptors;
    • Solid waste and sanitation service;
    • Assessment of effects on the transportation system;
    • Impacts of project on Public Health
  • Prepare and provide oversight for constraints mapping and technical reports using spatial and statistical analysis tools, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Prepare and provide documentation on the Contractor’s daily construction activities.
  • Document, research, and analyze materials being utilized and substituted by the Contractor in accordance with the Contract Documents. Make recommendations for acceptance/rejection to Team Leaders.
  • Coordinate with project sponsors, public agencies undertaking capital projects and infrastructure improvements, technical review and resource agencies, architects, engineers, land use attorneys, and real estate developers.
  • Present research and analysis result to Construction Manager (NYCT), Sr. Project Manager (AECOM), and Resident Engineer (NYCT).
  • Work on preparation of technical work products in conformance to Contract Documents, schedule milestones, and budget allocation. 
  • Identify resource needs for project delivery, including Contractor’s staffing and subcontractors providing specialized technical services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction Management.
